If this becomes an expansion I will quit wow, in all honesty I think it might be a new TCG booster pack name idk.
My guesses (just so I can get em in writing before anything official)."Mists of Pandaria" is not the name of the expansion.Pandarians may make an appearance in the expansion, but more along the level of the Kalu'ak.The plot of the new expansion is related to the Burning Legion taking advantage of Azeroth's recent Cataclysm.Level range will be 85-90.Deathwing's demise literally within the Maelstrom (former site of Well of Eternity) gives the Legion the doorway they needed.Instead of physical cracks in the world, now we also have "rifts" (yep, I know) that are allowing Legion influence and provide easy ways for designers to insert new threats without adding a lot of new real estate.Using Ethereal NPCs for transmog/void/reforge is no random choice - Ethereals will be key support characters based on their knowledge of "what's out there" in the Nether.General feel of the expansion will be more scifi/tech than we've had before. Will involve a re-vamp of Outland - very likely serious streamlining.- Hellfire Peninsula, Zangarmarsh, Terokkar, Nagrand, Blade's Edge mostly untouched - this is your prime 58-68 leveling area (2 levels per zone).- Netherstorm is basically lost to the Twisting Nether (sucked dry of mana by the Manaforges?) and/or re-greened by the Ethereal domes and made into a 85-90 range leveling zone.- Shadowmoon Valley is radically changed, central to the plot of the new expansion. Very likely some sort of training ground against demons for us - a 85-90 range leveling zone.Other selling features:Vastly improved player models and no- or low-cost aesthetic customization (so they dont have to pack in new playable races).Extra profession slot at level 90 (going further to say this is restricted to a max 2 crafting or 2 gathering professions).More social improvements (raid with Battle.Net friends)Make-your-own Hero class - ability to start a new character at level 80 - probably for a cost.Could be a ton of micro-transaction goodies... laying groundwork for a true free-to-play model, but not right away. Look first for reduction of montly subscription charges - maybe even the "expansion" will be completely free if you bought Cataclysm, too. (a lot of people feel ripped off for only 5 levels of new content that they didn't like)
