I came here looking for advice on how to fight him. He doesn't present much challenge.

There are some little bone dragons running in a pack and some elites on his right, but if you fight him right where he stands you'll be fine.

You won't have to fight Tharonj'a, the bone dragony looking apparition.

I blew cooldowns and he went down pretty quickly. He can be interrupted.

If you are doing the quest Raining Bones, he 'may be' located at the pin on the map. But he is ALSO on the central stairs, coords 54, 45. (the one on the central stairs is the one you're supposed to be fighting.)

He's a lot easier there especially for clothies.

He's definitely soloable. It helps to pull and kill his dino-buddies before you take him on.

His Spirit Bolts attack is interruptable, and you have to make sure to interrupt it, because it'll burn your health down right quick.

When he casts Fountain of Skulls, you can run out of range before you take too much damage.

Every once in a while he casts a healing spell on you. That's nice of the fellow, be sure to /thank him...

The healing spell that was referred to happens when he "rolls the bones" (ie. dice). If you win he heals you otherwise he casts a buff on himself.

He killed me more than once! I was glad to see here that Tharonj'a does not harm you during the fight. But.....those spirit bolts are killers. As an ilvl 481 Destr Lock, I used the Observer pet that can heal itself and interrupt the mob. I also popped my Terrorguard early in the fight since some of the comments here indicated to start hitting hard early. He also does some melee damage, so I had to Mortal Coil once or twice and keep consuming healthstones. Demonic Gateway did not help much - I think it must be nearly impossible to get away from the spirit bolts; you can pretty much step away from the skull bombs, though. I did not bother to kill any of the surrounding mobs - I just stayed away from them during the encounter.

This, in most ways, echoes what others have said, but, in the case of melee (iLvl 461 guardian druid here), you can engage him where he stands, and plan to interrupt, at all costs, his Spirit Bolts spell upon cast. (He typically casts 2-3 of these depending on the length of the fight.) I ran around him in circles when he cast Fountain of Bones (twice) and took insignificant if any damage. Was immediately within melee range then to interrupt Spirit Bolts which he can cast within a few seconds of FoB. Just stay alert to what he's casting, have health pots or a CD ready in case you miss one of the interrupts, and you'll find this a relatively easy solo.
