If the panda's become a race, I wouldn't mind if they became a race of a middle group where you get to choose your path to either become horde or alliance. The panda's are a favour of both horde and alliance players so haven't to be stuck on one faction because you want to play a panda will be stupid.

Wasn't Chen Stormstout also in the WC3 expansion? Isn't that canon? And pandaria I believe has been mentioned plenty of times elsewhere as well I think.
Even if this doesn't become an expansion (and in all honesty, given how Chen Stormstout acts in the WC3 story, I kind-of hope it never becomes an expansion), it would be AMAZING if they managed to plug them in as a race, hero class (lol, you can switch into a panda-form) or just an awesome faction for a raid. Something seems very appealing about watching 25 pandaren brewmasters popping their split ability and running in to kill Deathwing...(those of you who know what I'm talking about, you know you agree ;) )
The name "Mists of Pandaria" might come from the mountain Mistgard (pics here), which is a recurring theme in images featuring pandaren (of course made by Samwise).I don't personally care if they're a playable race or not, I just want a proper chinese/japanese theme in this game.
I think we are done with new classes. Just too much balancing issues and really no room for a new one without making them very similar to something else. Not to sound negative.. but since Pandas have been much sought-after by players.. I wonder if they might just have one race.. and allow them to quest to be horde or alliance. I mean you can´t really introduce an entire expansion based around 1 race, and then have it only playable by one faction. Maybe have 1-20 be neutral and unable to leave (ala early goblins and worgen) and then at the end have them make a choice.
I agree^
